Puerto Rico hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8

Puerto Rico hit by an earthquake at the southern coast of Puerto Rico on early Monday morning, which did a lot of property damaged but there were no reports of injuries.

According to the USGS, There was a superficial 6-mile-deep quake hit the southern part of the island at 6:32 a.m. where it had been felt most strongly. Several smaller temblors followed, including a 4.9-magnitude quake that scared the residents again just before 11 a.m.

These quakes are the strongest ones to date since it started hitting the area over the past two weeks.

The earthquake did major structural damage and power outages were reported in some parts of the country, there are also minor landslides. Few roads were temporarily closed along the southern coast. but there is no life lost.

In Guayanilla, The best tourist attraction known as Playa Ventana which is a rock formation on the ocean that looks like a window that provided a seascape behind it. With the quake, the rock fell into the water.
