JNU violence Live Updates: Masked Mob entered the campus and went on a rampage, targetting students and teachers.JNUSU claimed members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was behind this attack. ABVP has denied the allegation. People have gathered at the Delhi Police headquarters to protest the violence.
The violence at JNU started at 5 pm (Sunday).JNU Teachers public organized a meeting at a tea point, As soon as it got over. A large group of people entered into the campus and started attacking teachers and students.leaving at least 20 injured, including the chief of the students’ union.
Aishe Ghosh the JNUSU president was brutally attacked. In a video that was shared online, where we can see Aishe Ghosh is bleeding from the head and saying to a reporter that “I have been brutally beaten up by people wearing masks, I was there with one of my activists when I was brutally beaten up. I am not even able to talk”
The police carried out a flag march late at night inside the campus to ensure there are no members of the mob remaining. “Delhi police, go back,” angry voices from the crowd said, asking the police to leave.
